MLBC STUDENTS – CONNECT    GROW    SERVE

Within the Student Ministry at Mt Lebanon, it is our desire to see every student connect with Jesus Christ through faith, to grow deeply in his or her relationship with Him, and to serve others through the love of Christ.

Colossians 2:6-7 is our foundation for Student Ministry.  Paul writes, “as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord (connect), so walk in Him (serve), rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith (grow).”

We have several weekly and monthly opportunities to encourage students to connect with God and one another, to grow deeper in their relationship with Him, and to serve others.

Connect

The Underground is a weekly worship service for Middle and High School students to connect with God and each other in a fresh way. This is an exciting, high-energy time of praise and worship and hearing a message from God’s Word that applies to students’ daily life.  After worship students have the opportunity to enjoy snacks, hang out, and play a wide variety of games. Some of the game options are foosball, ping-pong, air hockey, pool, Wii, Ultimate Frisbee, and basketball in the gym. The Underground meets every Wednesday night from 6:30-8 in the Youth Room.

Grow

Sunday School is a small group setting where students are able to grow closer with one another and learn God’s Word on a deeper level.  Each week students are encouraged to grow in their relationship with God through a lesson and discussion about how it applies to their everyday lives.

Youth Discipleship is a time for in-depth Bible study for all Middle and High School students.  Youth Discipleship is another opportunity for students to meet in small and large groups to become better rooted and built up in Christ.  A variety of themed studies are offered in age appropriate formats. Youth Discipleship classes are every Sunday night at 5 in the Youth Room.

Serve

Service opportunities are offered monthly to give students a chance to put their faith into action and to show the love of Christ to others.
